Serving as the "Cultural Seed" of the 2026 Taitung Expo, this project is dedicated to preserving and reconnecting cross-generational and co-creative local heritage. Over the course of a year, we archived 100 life stories of Taitung people and 40 archival photographs dating back to the 1940s, and through to the present. This project distills a shared cultural essence to build the cornerstone of Taitung’s sense of place and identity.

Centered on the "Memory Bank " concept, the exhibition draws on a metaphor of memories embedded deep in every visitor's mind being "extracted" and savored. Breaking away from traditional one-way displays, it uses immersive experience, digital interaction, and multisensory engagement to pass Taitung's everyday memories downward and outward across generations. The exhibition spans eight thematic zones — Flowing, Living, Echoing, Cultivating, Waving, Praying, Renewing, and Imagining — gathering 80 years of Taitung life, reassembling fragmented time, while looking ahead to the next generation through 20 future stars who may shape Taitung's tomorrow.

Furthermore, the initiative introduces 4 exclusive side events, bringing the authentic atmosphere of Taitung life directly to visitors, including the Bat Cave Folk Music Night, KTV Cocktail Night, and Memory Storytelling Box. More than a mere exhibition, this project establishes a cross-generational and co-creative public platform that inspires cultural seeds to sprout across land and generations, shaping Taitung’s future cultural imagination.

Transforming a century of everyday life into eight immersive spaces, this exhibition invites you to step into a living archive of Taitung. Upon entry, your silhouette is integrated in real-time into historical projections, merging your personal story with the city's collective past.

Your sensory journey spans eight thematic zones: witness shifting landscapes and retro train stations in the Zone of Flowing; explore recreated vintage signs and historical corner shops in the Zone of Living. In the Zone of Echoing, you can use NFC objects to "bring to life" archival photos of the bustling, energetic scenes of past idol group concert tours!

Continue your exploration to experience the sweet scent of labor in the Zone of Cultivating (Pineapple factory) and the ocean breeze before the coastal backdrops of the Zone of Waving. Reflect on faith via slide-projected rituals in the Zone of Praying and Taitung's fate as "first in line for typhoons" and the mutual aid and resilience of its people in the Zone of Renewing, before uncovering tomorrow through 20 local children's stories in the Zone of Imagining.
