“Dear Taitung” is a brand-new documentary produced for this exhibition, capturing the stories of migration, homecoming, and newcomers who chose to settle in Taitung. The film centers on three distinctive Taitung figures: nationally recognized master craft artist Chen Li-You-Mei, veteran publisher Lin Tsai-Chueh, and Federico Davicino, a young drifter-turned-founder of a sailing school in Taitung. Directed by emerging documentary filmmaker Cheng Chih-Ming, the documentary unfolds in the form of visual letters, portraying their personal journeys of struggle, perseverance, and belonging across different paths in life — revealing some of the most honest and deeply emotional stories connected to Taitung.

“Echoes of Taitung” is presented in collaboration with the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute. Screening historical newsreels and documentary films of Taitung, the program reflects the shared memories and collective experiences of different generations who have lived in and remembered Taitung.
